The Farm Table

farm table

I love the fact that farm tables are making a comeback now. I also love the idea of pairing them with modern/ecclectic chairs.

In my opinion, the dining table is one of the most important pieces of furniture in the home because it the place that brings family and friends together. Be it simple suppers, dinner parties, homework, game nights, or long chats over a cuppa...I believe the dining table tells the story of it's family - dents, scrapes, spills and all! The farm table seems to embrace all of this quite easily and becomes a piece we can charish for years to come.

Bedroom Blues

I'm ashamed to say that after being married nearly 3 years, our bedroom is still a jumble of old furniture from our single lives, mis-matched colour scheme, no bed frame, and no style what-so-ever.

Because it was a room that no one really saw, and because our first bedroom was teeny tiny, I choose to focus on the other rooms of the house. BUT NO LONGER! My New Years Resolution - create lovely bedroom that I actually want to spend time in!

A little bit of Vintage

This was another find from my Grandpa's barn. I've had it for a couple years but have just got around to hanging it in my living room.

You could try making one yourself with old pieces of barn wood, baseboard, etc...hooks (Home Depot or try a secondhand store for something more vintage looking), and a few screws.

You could paint it or just leave it as it is - be creative!

Love This...

Christmas Sign

Found this on Pintrest from www.thirtyhandmadedays.com - Love It and just might recreate it!
